232 Engine

2019 Spartan

A red fire truck with "Pleasant Hills Fire Company" and "232 Engine" written on the side is parked on a grassy area next to a road. The side compartments are open, revealing equipment inside. The sky is clear, and there are trees without leaves in the background.

Engine Duties

The job of “the engine” is primarily to put the fire out. It contains a water pump, water tank, and thousands of feet of fire hose, both to supply the engine with water and to allow our firefighters to extinguish the fire. It also contains a variety of tools that allow us to do things such as forcible entry, and salvage and overhaul.
