Truck Duties
The job of “the truck” is perform patient extrication during emergencies, as well as provide firefighters with the ability to access higher floors in a building that may be inaccessible from the interior of the building. With our 100’ ladder, we are able to reach the top floor of any high-rise building in Pleasant Hills, which allows us to gain access to victims during emergencies. The truck also provides us with an elevated waterway to flow large amounts of water on fires from above, in our case, up to 2,000 gallons per minute.
